Our shipwright team has discovered a love heart and other graffiti made by the crew that sailed the ship across the Atlantic in the 1980s. The piece of wood from the bitt - a vertical anchoring post used to help raise the lowest sail on the mast - will be kept for posterity. A request has been issued for the culprits to make themselves known, purely for historical records. Don’t worry - they won’t be made to walk the plank!
